Apple Launches HomePod (2nd Gen) in India: Inside Details
Apple has announced the release of its second-generation HomePod smart speaker model. HomePod (2nd generation), a powerful smart speaker with next-level acoustics and a stunning, unique look. Apple’s smart speaker includes support for surround sound tracks. Users can now implement smart home automation using Siri, receive notifications when a smoke or carbon monoxide alarm is detected in their home, and control room temperature and humidity—all hands-free.
The new HomePod (2nd generation) has a stunning look that fits into any environment, featuring transparent mesh and a backlit touch surface that glows from edge to edge. HomePod comes with a color-coordinated braided charging cable and is available in white and midnight, a new shade made from mesh that is 100% recycled. Using room-sensing technology, HomePod can tell if it’s against a wall or free-standing by listening to sound reflections from surrounding surfaces. It then adjusts the audio in real time.

A powerful acoustic experience is achieved through the combination of a custom-made high-frequency woofer, a powerful motor that moves the diaphragm by a staggering 20mm, a built-in microphone with bass equalizer and an array of five tweeters around the beam-forming base. To deliver even more sophisticated computer sound that utilizes the full potential of its acoustic system for a game-changing listening experience, the S7 chip is integrated with the system’s software and sensing technology.

Two HomePod speakers placed next to each other in the same area can also be used to create a stereo pair. The stereo pair not only splits the left and right channels, but also plays each channel in unison, resulting in a larger and more expansive soundstage than conventional stereo speakers for a truly exceptional listening experience.
Using two or more HomePods or small HomePod speakers unlocks a number of powerful features. Saying “Hey Siri” or touching and holding the top of the HomePod allows users to play the same music on different HomePod speakers, different songs on different HomePod speakers, or even use the HomePod speakers as an intercom to broadcast messages to other rooms using Multi. sound in the room with AirPlay.
With Apple Music, users can access a library of more than 100 million songs, enjoy surround sound with a single HomePod or a stereo pair, or create an immersive home theater with Apple TV 4K. Siri allows users to search for music information by artist, song, lyrics, decade, genre, mood, or activity.
Customers can turn HomePod into an audio system for all connected devices using Apple TV 4K’s eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel) feature. Additionally, consumers can manage what’s playing on their Apple TV hands-free using Siri on the HomePod.
Anyone in the household can bring their iPhone closer to the HomePod and easily control what’s playing or receive personalized music and podcast recommendations. HomePod can recognize up to six voices, allowing each person to hear their own songs, request reminders and schedule activities on the calendar.
