Apple today introduced new 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pros with the M2 Pro and M2 Max. It claims to come with game-changing performance and the longest battery life with support for up to 96GB of unified memory for demanding professional workflows. It is said to offer performance that is up to 6x faster than the top-of-the-line Intel-based MacBook Pro. A Liquid Retina XDR display, a wide range of connectivity, a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, a six-speaker sound system and studio-quality microphones complete the unrivaled capabilities of MacBook Pro.

The new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models are available for pre-order now and will ship on January 24. The starting prices for the new 14-inch MacBook Pro with M2 Pro and 16-inch MacBook Pro with M2 Pro are INR 199900 and INR 184900 respectively.

With the M2 Pro and M2 Max, MacBook Pro can revolutionize professional processes in a variety of fields, including art, science and application development. For up to 20% more performance than the M1 Pro, the MacBook Pro with the M2 Pro has a 10- or 12-core CPU with up to eight high-performance and four high-efficiency cores. It also has 200 GB/s unified memory bandwidth and up to 32 GB unified memory, which is double the M2.
MacBook Pro with M2 Max has a significantly larger GPU with up to 38 cores and up to 30% more graphics performance than the M1 Max. It also has 400GB/s of unified memory bandwidth, which is twice as fast as the M2 Pro. With up to 96GB of unified memory, MacBook Pro pushes the boundaries of laptop graphics memory and supports demanding graphics workloads such as integrating huge panoramic panoramas and creating scenes with extraordinary 3D geometry and textures.
M2 Max performance is up to 20% faster than M1 Max thanks to a next-generation 12-core CPU that has up to eight high-performance and four high-efficiency cores. It also has a more powerful media engine than the M2 Pro with 2x ProRes acceleration, making media playback and transcoding significantly faster.

The new MacBook Pro features Wi-Fi 6E3, which is up to twice as fast as the previous generation, and improved HDMI, which enables 8K screens for the first time, for better connectivity. Creators can work on scenes so large that even PC laptops can’t run them thanks to the M2 Max’s up to 96GB of unified memory. The robust media engine in the M2 Pro also kills the most popular video codecs, significantly speeding up video playback and encoding with very low power consumption.
MacBook Pro offers even greater performance and productivity with macOS Ventura. Every Mac can now use video conferencing features like Desk View, Center Stage, Studio Light and more thanks to robust enhancements like Continuity Camera. The FaceTime forwarding feature allows users to start a FaceTime chat on their iPhone or iPad and seamlessly transfer it to their Mac or vice versa. In addition, programs like Stage Manager automatically organize windows and applications, so users can focus on their current work and still have a clear overview of everything.
Freeform’s new app offers a customizable canvas that helps users be more productive and expressive, whether they’re planning or brainstorming alone or with others. Users can now create and share a separate photo library with up to six family members using iCloud Shared Photo Library.
